Step Inside Flora Integrated Wellness: A Tour of Our Escondido Studio

Walking into a new wellness space for the first time can feel like a leap, especially if you're coming in for something personal like a colonic. So before you ever book, we'd love for you to see exactly where you'll be. Come take a quiet walk through Flora Integrated Wellness in Escondido, CA, room by room.

Every corner of this studio was put together with one idea in mind: that healing happens more easily when you feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Here's what that looks like in real life.

The Lobby: A Soft Place to Land

The lobby at Flora, where every visit begins.

Your visit starts in a bright, uncluttered lobby filled with natural light and living plants. There's a comfortable chair to settle into, a little greenery to rest your eyes on, and none of the noise or rush of a typical waiting room.

We keep this space simple on purpose. Many of our clients arrive carrying stress, whether from a busy day, a long history of digestive trouble, or simple first-visit nerves. The lobby is where you get to exhale before anything else happens.

The Massage Room: Warm, Grounded, and Personal

Our massage room, softened with warm light and meaningful touches.

Our massage room feels less like a clinic and more like a sanctuary. Soft lamplight, deep blue textiles, and peacock-inspired artwork create a space that's warm and a little bit personal. A cozy chair in the corner even carries a pillow that reads "Blessed," which sums up how we hope you feel when you leave.

This is also where hands-on lymphatic work happens. Jodi has been practicing hands-on lymphatic drainage for 23 years and has been ELT (electro lymphatic therapy) certified since 2004. That's an important distinction: lymphatic care at Flora comes from decades of trained, hands-on experience, not simply from owning a machine.

The Infrared Sauna Room: Warmth That Goes Deep

Next door is our infrared sauna, glowing warm and inviting. Unlike a traditional hot-air sauna, infrared warms the body more directly, which many people find more comfortable and easier to relax into.

Clients often use sauna time to unwind, ease tension, and give their body a chance to slow down. It also pairs naturally with other services here as part of a broader self-care routine. Look closely and you'll spot a small sign above the sauna that reads "it is well." We think that's a pretty good intention to sit with for a while.

The Colon Hydrotherapy Suite: Private, Clean, and Calm

If you're considering a colonic, this is probably the room you're most curious about. We hope the photos put you at ease. The space is bright and clean, with sheer curtains, soft lamplight, and plants tucked onto the shelves. It feels calm rather than clinical.

A few details are there specifically for you:

  • A padded, supportive treatment table with extra pillows so you can settle in comfortably for your session.
  • A step stool and a sturdy support handle to make getting on and off the table easy and steady.
  • A private, spa-style restroom with a toilet footstool, which helps your body find a more natural position for elimination.

Colon hydrotherapy is also what makes Flora truly different. Not every wellness center in the area offers it, and very few offer it with this level of training behind it. Jodi has been I-ACT certified since 2004 at the instructor level, meaning she's qualified to teach other therapists, and in 2022 she also became an NBCHT (National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy) Credentialed Colon Hydrotherapist. That makes her double certified, with more than 20 years of colon hydrotherapy practice.

If you'd like to know exactly how a session unfolds, from your consultation to the moment you walk out, our post What Actually Happens During a Colonic? walks through it step by step.

Why the Space Matters

It might seem like decor is a small thing, but for a lot of our clients, it isn't. When you're dealing with bloating, irregularity, stress, or years of feeling out of sync with your body, walking into a space that feels peaceful makes it easier to relax. And relaxation matters, because your digestive system works best when your nervous system isn't on high alert.

That's the heart of Flora: care for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, offered in a space that feels like a deep breath.
